Position: Quality Engineer – Car Parking Systems
Department: Quality / Production
Location: Velu, Khed Shivapur, Maharashtra
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month
Experience: 2–5 years
About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with experience in mechanical manufacturing, fabrication, welding, machine assembly, or industrial equipment manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for incoming, in-process, and final quality inspection of car parking systems and related mechanical components.
Experience in automated/semi-automated parking systems, structural fabrication, welding, hydraulic/mechanical systems, or machinery manufacturing will be preferred.
Qualification
Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
2–5 years of relevant experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or related industries
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Quality Inspection
Inspect incoming raw materials, fabricated parts, bought-out components, motors, electrical/hydraulic components, fasteners, etc.
Verify material specifications, dimensions, quantity, and quality against purchase orders and approved drawings.
Maintain incoming material inspection records.
In-Process Quality Control
Conduct quality inspections during fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, painting, and installation.
Perform dimensional and visual inspections at various production stages.
Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings and specifications.
Identify deviations and coordinate corrective actions with Production and other departments.
Final Inspection
Inspect Stack Parking, Puzzle Parking, Two-Wheeler Parking, and automated/semi-automated parking systems.
Check structural dimensions, welding quality, alignment, finishing, mechanical components, safety features, and functionality.
Prepare final inspection and testing reports before dispatch or installation.
Drawing & Technical Inspection
Read and interpret mechanical and structural drawings.
Check dimensions, tolerances, material grades, welding details, and assembly requirements.
Coordinate with Design and Production teams to resolve drawing and technical quality issues.
Welding & Fabrication Quality
Inspect welding quality, weld joints, fabrication dimensions, and structural alignment.
Identify defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, and improper welding.
Ensure fabrication activities follow approved quality procedures.
Installation & Site Quality
Visit project sites for quality inspection during installation.
Inspect machine installation, alignment, leveling, anchoring, assembly, and finishing.
Coordinate with Project and Installation Engineers to resolve site quality issues.
Prepare site inspection and snag reports.

Testing & Commissioning Reports
Quality Checklists
Calibration Records
NCR & Corrective Action
Identify and report non-conforming products or processes.
Raise NCRs wherever required.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis for recurring quality issues.
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.
Vendor Quality
Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and subcontractors regarding quality requirements.
Conduct vendor inspections when required.
Monitor vendor quality performance and support improvement activities.

Good documentation and reporting skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Willingness to travel to project sites when required
Ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Design, Purchase, Stores, Installation, Project, Service, and vendors
