Quality Control Engineer

🔷 Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

• Implement and monitor QA & QC procedures across production processes.

• Conduct in-process, final, and incoming material inspections.

• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements and internal standards.

• Monitor welding quality and ensure adherence to WPS & PQR standards.

Documentation & Systems

• Prepare and maintain PPAP documents, control plans, and FMEA.

• Implement APQP methodology for new product development.

• Handle KAPA (Corrective & Preventive Action) activities.

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and calibration logs.

Quality Tools & Analysis

• Use 7 QC tools for root cause analysis and problem-solving.

• Conduct process capability studies and SPC monitoring.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Supplier & Customer Coordination

• Support supplier quality audits and development.

• Handle customer complaints and coordinate 8D reports.

• Participate in customer and internal audits.

Team Handling

• Guide and train inspectors and quality technicians.

• Monitor team performance and discipline.

• Conduct quality awareness sessions.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Purchase teams.

• Support new product trials and validations.

• Participate in management review meetings.

🔷 Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems

• Excellent understanding of welding quality standards

• Hands-on experience with 7 QC tools, PPAP, APQP, KAPA

• Root cause analysis & problem-solving skills

• Team handling & leadership skills

• Good communication & documentation skills

🔷 Mandatory Requirements

• B.E. Mechanical Engineering

• 3–5 years of relevant quality experience

• Experience in Iron & Steel or Automotive industry

• Strong welding quality knowledge

• Proven team handling experience
