Quality Control / Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are looking for Quality Control Inspectors to ensure that manufactured components meet required quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of components.

• Check dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and other measuring instruments.

• Understand and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.

• Conduct first-piece inspection and approve components for production.

• Identify defects, deviations, and quality issues during production.

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.

• Coordinate with production and CNC/VMC teams to resolve quality issues.

• Monitor process quality and reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.

• Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

• Maintain proper calibration and safe handling of measuring instruments.

• Follow 5S, safety, and quality management procedures.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.

• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance concepts.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments.

• Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes.

• Good observation and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prepare inspection and quality reports.

• Knowledge of basic quality tools such as 5 Why, 7 QC Tools, and CAPA is an advantage.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die / Quality-related trades

• B.E./B.Tech candidates may also apply for suitable positions.
