Quality Engineer Role Task (Shopfloor)

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect products at different stages of manufacturing to ensure they meet quality requirements.

• Refer to applicable drawings, specifications, standards, and inspection procedures before carrying out any inspection.

• Perform all inspections as per the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

• Follow the company’s quality policies and encourage compliance across all departments.

• Promote and follow Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices during all inspection activities.

• Coordinate with other Quality Engineers and provide daily updates to the QC Head/Management on ongoing work.

• Verify completed work before approving it for the next stage of manufacturing.

• Accept or reject materials and finished products based on applicable standards and inspection results.

• Complete all inspection reports, checklists, and quality records on the same day, both physically and in the ERP/computer system.

• Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) for any non-conforming material or product and ensure timely follow-up.

• Ensure all measuring instruments are calibrated and maintained as per the QMS requirements.

• Coordinate with customers, third-party inspectors, or client representatives during inspections whenever required.

• Take inspection photographs as evidence of completed work and maintain them properly.

• Organize and maintain a digital photo database on the company server for future reference and traceability.

• Continuously work towards maintaining Flovel’s reputation as a trusted manufacturer of high-quality valves.

Key Expectations

• Every product should meet the required quality standards before dispatch.

• Inspection reports and records should be accurate and completed on time.

• Non-conforming products should be identified and reported immediately.

• Quality documentation and inspection records should be well maintained and easily traceable.

• Work closely with Production, Stores, and Design to prevent quality issues rather than only identifying them.

• Always represent Flovel’s commitment to quality in every inspection.

• Ensure material traceability is maintained from raw material to finished product.

• Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and ensure they match the material being used.

• Assist during customer, third-party, and certification audits

• Ensure all quality records are filed and available for future reference.

• Ensure products are properly identified before and after inspection to avoid mix-ups.

• Verify customer-specific requirements before inspection whenever applicable.

• Assist in preparing Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) or final quality dossiers, if required.

Criteria

· Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.Freshers and candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience can apply.

· Salary: Freshers: ₹15,000 – ₹17,000 CTC per month Experienced: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 CTC per month (Based on experience and skills)

· Bond: 2 Years Bond – Compulsory

· Job Location: Shopfloor

· Freshers Should Have: Strong willingness to learn, Good understanding of engineering fundamentals, Ability to read mechanical drawings, Willingness to work in shifts if required.

· Preferred Industry Experience
