Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Salary Range: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with experience in the PEB, Structural Steel, or Fabrication industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality standards during fabrication, welding, inspection, surface preparation, and painting processes while maintaining proper documentation and coordinating client inspections.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for PEB projects.

2. Review project specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.

3. Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test documentation.

4. Inspect incoming raw materials such as MS plates, sections, welding consumables, hardware, and paint materials.

5. Ensure fabrication activities comply with approved drawings and quality standards.

6. Monitor cutting, welding, drilling, blasting, and painting processes.

7. Verify welding quality as per WPS, PQR, and welder qualification standards.

8. Conduct in-process and final inspections during fabrication.

9. Coordinate and witness NDT tests such as UT and PT whenever required.

10. Ensure dimensional accuracy of primary and secondary structural members.

11. Verify surface preparation and paint thickness as per project specifications.

12. Handle client inspections and resolve customer quality complaints effectively.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of fabrication and structural steel quality standards

• Understanding of welding inspection and NDT processes

• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

• Good documentation and reporting skills

• Strong communication and coordination abilities
