Quality Control Engineer

The IQC Incharge will handle all incoming material quality checks. He will ensure that materials received from suppliers match the drawing, specification, and quality standards before sending them to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Check incoming materials as per drawing and specifications

• Ensure correct material, size, dimensions, and finish are received

• Supervise IQC inspection activities and maintain quality standards

• Use measuring instruments like vernier, micrometer, gauges, etc.

• Maintain IQC reports, rejection records, and inspection documents

• Identify defective or wrong materials and inform purchase/senior team

• Coordinate with suppliers for quality issues and replacements

• Approve or reject incoming materials based on inspection results

• Maintain proper labeling and segregation of accepted/rejected materials

• Work closely with production, store, and purchase departments

• Ensure measuring instruments are properly maintained and calibrated

• Train and guide IQC inspectors and helpers if required

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Mechanical or related field

• 3–5 years experience in IQC or quality department

• Good knowledge of drawing reading and measurement checking

• Experience in sheet metal, electrical, or component inspection preferred

Skills Required

• Drawing reading knowledge

• Knowledge of measuring instruments

• Good inspection and problem-solving skills

• Basic computer knowledge (Excel/reporting)

• Leadership and team handling ability

• Attention to detail and discipline
