We are looking for a skilled Fabrication Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of fabricated components and welded assemblies. The candidate should have hands-on experience in fabrication inspection, drawing interpretation, measurement techniques, and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect fabricated components and welded assemblies as per engineering drawings and specifications.

• Perform in-process and final quality inspections.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and welding symbols.

• Verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Measuring Tapes.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, and final inspection.

• Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and checklists.

• Identify quality issues and coordinate with production for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Handle non-conformance reports (NCR) and root cause analysis.

• Monitor welding quality and fabrication processes.

• Support internal and customer quality audits.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality management standards and safety procedures.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of fabrication and welding inspection.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints.

• Good understanding of GD&T and welding symbols.

• Experience in handling measuring instruments.

• Knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, CAPA, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualification

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

Experience

• 2–3 years of experience in fabrication quality inspection or manufacturing quality.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in sheet metal, structural fabrication, or heavy fabrication industries.

• Immediate joiners will be preferred.
