Job description:Job Title: Quality SupervisorDepartment: Quality Assurance / Quality ControlReports To: Quality ManagerLocation: NashikJob SummaryThe Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day quality control activities on the production floor, ensuring products meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role supervises quality inspectors, drives corrective actions, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve overall product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & AssuranceSupervise and coordinate daily activities of quality inspectors and techniciansEnsure incoming, in-process, and final inspections are performed according to proceduresVerify products comply with drawings, specifications, and customer requirementsMonitor production processes to identify quality issues and non-conformancesApprove or reject raw materials, components, and finished productsProblem Solving & Corrective ActionsLead root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or ParetoInitiate and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve quality issuesSupport containment actions for internal and customer quality problemsDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reportsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reportsEnsure compliance with internal quality procedures and external standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, GMP)Audits & ComplianceSupport internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, certification bodies)Ensure corrective actions from audits are implemented and verifiedEnforce adherence to quality systems, procedures, and work instructionsTraining & SupervisionTrain production and quality staff on quality standards, inspection methods, and proceduresCoach employees on quality awareness and defect preventionEvaluate performance of quality inspectors and provide feedbackContinuous ImprovementParticipate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesAnalyze quality data and KPIs (scrap, rework, defects, customer complaints)Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiencyKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of quality tools and methodologiesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsLeadership and team supervision skillsProblem-solving and analytical thinkingGood communication and cross-functional collaborationTypical QualificationsBachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc)0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality roleExperience with quality management systems (ISO, IATF, GMP, etc.)Familiarity with inspection tools and measurement equipmentJob Types: Full-time, FresherWork Location: In person
