Job Description

DATRAX is hiring Purchase Engineers / Sr. Purchase Engineers for a manufacturing organisation in Mumbai.

The candidate will be responsible for procurement of materials, vendor coordination, sourcing and purchase activities to support smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, components and other required materials.

• Handle vendor identification, development and coordination.

• Obtain and compare quotations and prepare RFQs.

• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules with vendors.

• Prepare and process Purchase Orders.

• Coordinate with Production, Stores and other internal departments.

• Ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing.

• Monitor inventory and support material planning.

• Maintain purchase records and vendor information.

• Develop new vendors and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.

• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and quality requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or relevant Engineering discipline.

• 4–8 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.

• Experience in Manufacturing, Rubber Industry or Automotive Components preferred.

• Knowledge of vendor development and sourcing.

• Good negotiation and communication skills.

• Knowledge of ERP / SAP will be preferred.
