Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to manage the company's complete procurement activities. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, vendor development, price negotiation, purchase planning, order management and ensuring timely availability of materials as per production and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities for the organization.

• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers/vendors.

• Source electronic, electrical, audio, speaker, amplifier, cable, hardware and other manufacturing-related materials.

• Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and conduct price comparisons.

• Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial terms with suppliers.

• Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery.

• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Sales, Projects and Accounts teams for material requirements.

• Maintain proper records of quotations, POs, invoices, vendor details and purchase documents.

• Monitor pending purchase orders and follow up with vendors for timely dispatch.

• Ensure materials are purchased as per required quality specifications and approved standards.

• Develop alternate suppliers to control cost and reduce dependency on a single vendor.

• Continuously identify opportunities for cost reduction and better procurement terms.

• Coordinate with stores for material receipt, shortages, damages and rejection issues.

• Resolve vendor-related issues regarding quality, delivery, pricing and payments in coordination with management/accounts.

• Maintain updated vendor database and procurement MIS/reports.

• Support inventory planning and ensure optimum stock availability.

• Conduct market research for new suppliers, products and prevailing market prices.

• Ensure procurement activities are completed within approved budgets and company policies.

Required Skills

• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

• Good knowledge of purchase/procurement processes.

• Good understanding of electrical/electronic components and manufacturing materials.

• Strong communication and follow-up skills.

• Ability to compare quotations and analyze commercial terms.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel / MS Office.

• ERP/Tally or procurement software knowledge will be an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Ability to work with multiple departments and meet deadlines.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.

Experience

2-3 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement / Vendor Management, preferably in manufacturing, electrical, electronics, audio, industrial or engineering products.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates having experience in OEM/manufacturing companies, electronic/electrical component procurement, vendor development and price negotiation will be preferred.
