Job Purpose
To ensure smooth material flow from purchase to dispatch, strict inventory control, and on-time delivery to demanding automotive customers while also managing flexible dispatch requirements for V-Arch Equipments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Management (Core Responsibility)
• Maintain accurate stock of RM, FG, WIP, consumables
• Daily stock update in system (ERP/Excel)
• Implement FIFO / batch traceability (critical for automotive)
• Avoid stock mismatch, shortages, and excess inventory
• Proper material identification, tagging & bin system
2. Purchase Management
• Raise Purchase Orders (POs) based on production planning
• Develop and manage local vendors for urgent requirements
• Follow-up with suppliers for:
• On-time delivery
• Correct quantity & quality
• Negotiate rates and control cost without affecting quality
• Handle emergency purchases (breakdown / urgent orders)
3. Dispatch Management
• Plan and execute on-time dispatch as per customer schedule
• Ensure:
• Correct quantity
• Proper packing (especially automotive parts)
• Labeling as per customer requirement
• Prepare dispatch documents:
• Invoice, E-way bill, Delivery challan
• Coordinate with Company Drivers-transporters for timely delivery
4. Automotive Customer Handling (Very Important)
• Strict adherence to:
• Dispatch schedules
• Zero error dispatch
• Proper documentation
• Handle pressure from demanding OEM / Tier-1 customers
• Avoid line stoppage situations at customer end
5. V-Arch Equipments Dispatch Coordination
• Manage dispatch of:
• Poultry equipment (bulk & project-based orders)
• Coordinate mixed dispatch:
• Transport planning for different states
• Ensure strong packing (long-distance transport)
6. Inventory & Cost Control
• Maintain optimum stock level (avoid overstock & dead stock)
• Track slow-moving & non-moving items
• Reduce material wastage and pilferage
7. Coordination
• Work closely with:
• Production team
• Quality team
• Sales team (for V-Arch dispatch planning)
• Ensure no production stoppage due to material shortage
8. Documentation & System Discipline
• Maintain:
• GRN (Goods Receipt Note)
• Stock registers
• Dispatch records
• Ensure proper audit readiness (important for automotive clients)
Key Skills Required
• Strong knowledge of:
• Store & inventory management
• Purchase processes
• Dispatch operations
• Experience in automotive industry discipline (VERY IMPORTANT)
• Good negotiation and follow-up skills
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel / ERP)
Qualification
• Graduate / Diploma (any stream)
• Additional certification in supply chain is a plus
