Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Vendor Management:
• Assist in sourcing and procuring raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and services as per production and departmental requirements.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices with approved vendors.
• Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery.
• Maintain a database of approved vendors and support vendor qualification and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers for delivery schedules, quality issues, and payment follow-ups.
Inventory & Coordination:
• Coordinate with Stores and Accounts departments regarding stock levels, GRN entries, and invoice verifications.
• Monitor inventory levels and raise purchase requisitions to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Support production and maintenance departments by arranging urgent material requirements.
• Track pending orders and maintain purchase-related MIS reports.
Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain proper documentation of quotations, purchase orders, delivery challans, and supplier communications.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and standard procedures.
• Assist in audit preparation and provide required purchase documentation to internal and external auditors.
• Maintain confidentiality of commercial terms and supplier information.
Cost Control & Process Improvement:
• Support in identifying cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing or bulk purchasing.
• Suggest improvements in purchase processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Monitor price trends and market conditions for critical materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Graduate in Commerce, Science, or Diploma in Material Management / Supply Chain preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in purchase or procurement, preferably in a pharmaceutical or Ayurvedic manufacturing company.
• Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of purchase processes, vendor management, and documentation.
o Basic understanding of materials used in pharma/Ayurvedic manufacturing.
o Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Communication Skills: Good communication in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
• Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and timely coordination.
