Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining product quality, achieving production targets, and ensuring compliance with safety, hygiene, and GMP standards in the spice manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
Supervise daily production activities as per the production plan.
Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Monitor machine utilization and production efficiency.
Coordinate with planning, quality, maintenance, and warehouse teams for smooth operations.
Minimize production downtime and wastage.
Workforce Management
Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
Monitor attendance, shift schedules, and employee discipline.
Train workers on SOPs, GMP, hygiene, and safety practices.
Conduct daily shift briefings and toolbox talks.
Support multi-skilling and skill development initiatives.
Quality Control
Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Verify proper cleaning and sanitation of machines and production areas.
Monitor in-process quality checks.
Coordinate with the Quality team to address deviations and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE usage.
Maintain a safe and accident-free work environment.
Report and investigate incidents and near-miss cases.
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and company policies.
Inventory & Material Management
Monitor raw material consumption and usage.
Control production wastage and losses.
Coordinate with stores for timely availability of materials and packing materials.
Maintain accurate production records and reports.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily production reports.
Record machine breakdowns and corrective actions.
Prepare shift-wise productivity reports.
Ensure proper documentation as per audit requirements.
Qualifications
12TH/B.Tech/B.Sc in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production, or related field.
3–8 years of experience in FMCG/Food Processing/Spices Manufacturing.
