Job Title: Production Manager

Location: SIPCOT, Hosur

Job Summary

Standard Engineering Works is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage end-to-end production operations for our automobile spare parts manufacturing unit. The role involves planning, scheduling, coordinating CNC/VMC operations, and ensuring timely, quality-driven production output.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production operations for CNC/VMC turning and milling machines

• Plan and execute production scheduling to meet delivery timelines

• Monitor machine utilization, manpower allocation, and productivity

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, drawings, and customer specifications

• Coordinate with purchase, stores, QA, and dispatch teams for smooth workflow

• Implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, rejection, and downtime

• Handle shop floor discipline, safety, and 5S practices

• Track production reports, MIS, and daily output status

• Support new part development, trials, and process feasibility

• Ensure preventive maintenance planning in coordination with the maintenance team

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of CNC & VMC turning and milling operations

• Hands-on experience in automobile spare parts manufacturing

• Expertise in production planning, scheduling, and control (PPC)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixtures

• Leadership skills to manage shop floor teams and supervisors

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production management

• Prior experience in an automobile components manufacturing company is mandatory

Language Requirements

• Tamil – Mandatory

• Kannada – Mandatory

• Hindi and other languages will be an added advantage

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates residing in or near Hosur will be preferred

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Hands-on, result-oriented approach with shop floor exposure
