Job Summary

G L Exports is hiring an experienced PD Merchant to join our garment manufacturing team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in handling product development and garment production while coordinating with multiple departments to ensure timely execution, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end garment production and product development activities.

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Quality, Planning, and Sourcing teams.

• Monitor production timelines and ensure on-time order delivery.

• Maintain quality standards throughout the production process.

• Improve production efficiency and minimize wastage.

• Follow up with vendors and internal teams for smooth workflow.

• Prepare production plans and monitor daily progress.

• Resolve production-related issues to avoid delays.

• Lead and support production teams to achieve operational targets.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Denim, Woven, and Knits garment manufacturing.

• Excellent production planning and coordination skills.

• Good communication and team management abilities.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience as a PD Merchant or in a similar role in the Garment Manufacturing Industry.

• Experience in handling Denim, Woven, and Knits production is mandatory.

• Candidates from the garment manufacturing industry will be preferred.
