We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Power Press Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining power press machinery to shape, blank, punch, or cut sheet metal according to engineering blueprints. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to workshop safety.
Machine Setup & Operation
Install, align, and lock dies, jigs, and fixtures into power press machines.
Adjust machine parameters including stroke length, speed, pressure, and material feeding mechanisms.
Load raw metal sheets or coils into manual or automated feeder units.
Monitor machine operations to detect jamming, misalignment, or structural defects.
Quality Control & Inspection
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job cards.
Inspect finished parts using precision tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges to ensure dimensions meet design specifications.
Isolate and report defective components to prevent batch errors.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform routine daily maintenance, including machine lubrication and cleaning.
Identify and report worn-out dies or mechanical malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Safety & Workplace Compliance
Strictly operate machines using built-in safety controls (e.g., dual-hand trip buttons, light curtains, guards).
Wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, ear plugs, and heavy-duty gloves.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation (5S standards).
