Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to oversee the complete plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Dispatch, Safety, and overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and team-management skills with a proven track record in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the end-to-end plant operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

• Develop and implement production plans in line with customer requirements and business objectives.

• Monitor daily production activities, productivity, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.

• Ensure timely production and dispatch as per customer schedules.

• Maintain and improve quality standards and ensure compliance with company procedures.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Stores, HR, and Dispatch departments.

• Optimize manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources to minimize operational costs.

• Monitor machine performance and coordinate with the Maintenance team to reduce breakdowns and downtime.

• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure proper implementation of safety standards and statutory requirements within the plant.

• Identify operational issues and take corrective and preventive actions.

• Prepare and review MIS reports related to production, rejection, wastage, downtime, productivity, and costs.

• Manage and motivate plant employees, supervisors, and departmental teams.

• Develop performance targets and ensure effective manpower utilization.

• Ensure proper inventory control and coordination with Stores and Purchase teams.

• Conduct regular review meetings and report plant performance to senior management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, quality systems, and applicable statutory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, with experience in a Plant Head / Plant Manager / Factory Manager role.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality control, and maintenance.

• Excellent leadership and team-management skills.

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

• Good knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, and productivity improvement.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and achieve production and delivery targets.

• Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of MIS reports.
