Responsibilities of the Intern:
Create complete electronic circuit schematics from requirements.
Select appropriate components based on electrical, thermal, and functional needs.
Perform circuit validation, checking tolerances, power budgeting, and noise considerations.
Convert schematics to PCB layouts using industry-standard CAD tools.
Multi-layer PCB routing (high-speed signals, power planes, differential pairs when needed).
Optimize board size, signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability.
Add proper footprints, annotations, net labeling, and design rules.
Run DRC/ ERC checks and ensure the PCB passes all design constraints.
Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and fabrication-ready files (Gerber, Drill files, Pick & Place).
Work with fabrication vendors if needed to ensure manufacturability.
Requirements:
Altium Designer (preferred)
KiCad
Eagle
EasyEDA
OrCAD / Cadence
Strong understanding of analog & digital electronics.
Knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, power regulation, filters, and communication buses.
Ability to design circuits for real-world constraints (noise, EMI/EMC basics, grounding).
PCB stack-up planning
Controlled impedance routing (nice-to-have)
Power plane grounding and isolation
Placement & routing best practices
