Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Mold Assembly Engineer responsible for assembly, fitting, and testing of molds in the toolroom.
The role involves assembling mold plates, cores, cavities, guide systems, and other tooling components, ensuring proper alignment and functionality before molds are released for production.
The candidate must have strong practical knowledge of toolroom operations, machining tolerances, and mold assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities (KRA)
Mold Assembly & Fitting
Perform assembly and fitting of molds and tooling components.
Assemble core, cavity, mold plates, guide pillars, bushes, and ejector systems.
Ensure proper alignment and dimensional accuracy during assembly.
Conduct trial fitting and adjustments of mold components.
Toolroom Operations
Work closely with CNC / VMC machining teams to ensure components meet design specifications.
Perform manual fitting, grinding, drilling, and finishing operations.
Ensure molds are assembled according to engineering drawings.
Mold Testing & Trial
Support mold trial runs and testing before production.
Identify assembly defects and alignment issues.
Perform necessary corrections and adjustments during mold trials.
Maintenance & Repair
Perform maintenance and repair of molds used in production.
Replace worn-out components and damaged mold parts.
Ensure proper functioning of molds for continuous production.
Documentation & Coordination
Follow tool assembly drawings and engineering specifications.
Maintain assembly records and technical documentation.
Coordinate with design engineers, production teams, and toolroom staff.
Mandatory Eligibility Criteria
Experience
5–10 years of experience in mold assembly or toolroom operations.
Experience in SMC, FRP, plastic, or industrial mold assembly preferred.
Practical knowledge of toolroom machinery and mold fitting techniques.
Education
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or related field.
Technical Skills Required
Ability to read engineering drawings and mold assembly drawings
Knowledge of mold components such as core, cavity, ejector systems, and guide pillars
Experience with toolroom machines such as drilling, grinding, milling
Understanding of CNC / VMC machined components
Knowledge of machining tolerances and precision fitting

Compensation & Benefits
CTC: ₹6,00,000 – ₹8,00,000 per annum (₹6–8 LPA)
Probation Period: 3–6 months
