Mechanical draughtsman

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies in Autodesk Fusion 360 for robotic components and systems.

• Develop technical drawings, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.

• Perform motion studies, tolerance analysis, and design validation in Fusion 360.

• Collaborate with electrical, electronics, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.

• Conduct material selection and design optimization for strength, weight, and cost efficiency.

• Support prototype development, assembly, and testing of robotic systems.

• Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.

• Troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360 (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, simulations).

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up.

• Minimum 1 year experience with robotics, automation, or precision mechanisms preferred.

• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping techniques (CNC, 3D printing, sheet metal, etc.).

• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced R&D environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
