Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of bulker trucks/trailers.
Inspect and maintain diesel engines, gearboxes, axles, brakes, suspension and steering systems.
Maintain bulker tanker body, pressure systems, pipelines, valves, air compressors and pneumatic systems.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems and ensure timely repairs.
Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, service intervals and fitness requirements.
Coordinate with workshops, mechanics, vendors and spare-parts suppliers.
Maintain records of repairs, servicing, breakdowns, spare parts and vehicle maintenance history.
Analyse repeated breakdowns and identify root causes to reduce maintenance costs and downtime.
Ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintain minimum stock levels.
Inspect vehicles before/after major repairs and ensure roadworthiness.
Coordinate with operations team to schedule vehicles for maintenance without affecting fleet availability.
Monitor tyre condition, battery, lubrication, brake systems and other wear-and-tear components.
Ensure maintenance work is carried out according to manufacturer recommendations and company safety procedures.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports and track maintenance KPIs, breakdown frequency and vehicle downtime.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and statutory requirements.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle/bulker maintenance
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
