Job Title: Machine Operator
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant In-charge
Job Purpose
To operate, monitor, and maintain assigned machines efficiently to ensure safe, timely, and quality production as per company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate production machines as per SOP and safety guidelines
Set up machines for daily production runs (start-up, changeover, shutdown)
Monitor machine performance and product quality during operation
Identify and report machine breakdowns or abnormalities immediately
Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance
Ensure correct raw material loading and output handling
Maintain production records, logbooks, and batch details
Follow hygiene, safety, and quality standards at all times
Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams when required
Keep the work area clean and organized (5S practices)
Safety & Quality Responsibilities
Follow all safety rules, PPE usage, and factory compliance norms
Ensure zero contamination and wastage (especially in food/FMCG units)
Reject defective products and inform supervisors promptly
Skills & Competencies
Basic machine operation and technical understanding
Ability to read gauges, indicators, and simple instructions
Attention to detail and quality consciousness
Discipline, punctuality, and teamwork
Basic record-keeping skills
Educational Qualification
ITI / Diploma / 10th or 12th Pass (depending on machine complexity)
Experience
1–3 years preferred (Freshers can be trained for junior roles)

Job Title: Machine Operator – Ghee / Food Processing
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant In-Charge
Job Purpose
To operate and maintain ghee processing, filling, sealing, and packing machines efficiently while ensuring food safety, hygiene, quality, and production targets are met as per company standards and FSSAI guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
Operate ghee processing equipment such as:
Cream melting / butter melting units
Ghee boilers / kettles
Clarifiers / filters
Filling, sealing, labeling, and packing machines
Start, stop, and adjust machines as per daily production plan
Ensure correct temperature, pressure, and flow during ghee processing
Quality & Food Safety
Maintain strict hygiene standards (GMP & GHP)
Ensure zero contamination during processing and packing
Follow SOPs for:
Ghee clarification
Filtration
Packing and sealing
Check product parameters like:
Color
Aroma
Texture
Immediately report quality deviations to the Supervisor / QA team
Raw Material & Output Handling
Handle butter, cream, and ghee carefully to avoid spillage and wastage
Ensure correct batch-wise transfer and labeling
Assist in weighing, filling, and packing as per SKU requirements (200 ml, 500 ml, 1 L, etc.)
Machine Maintenance
Perform basic daily machine checks and cleaning (CIP where applicable)
Lubricate machine parts as instructed
Identify and report machine breakdowns immediately
Coordinate with maintenance team for repairs
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain production records such as:
Batch production register
Temperature & time logs
Cleaning and sanitation records
Follow FSSAI, internal audit, and quality documentation requirements
Safety Responsibilities
Wear PPE (cap, gloves, mask, apron, safety shoes) at all times
Follow plant safety rules and emergency procedures
Maintain a clean, dry, and organized work area (5S)
Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of food processing or dairy machinery
Basic understanding of hygiene and contamination control
Ability to read temperature gauges and control panels
Alertness, discipline, and teamwork
Willingness to work in shifts
Educational Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Food Processing
10th / 12th Pass with relevant machine experience
Experience
1 – 5 years in dairy, ghee, or food processing unit preferred
Freshers may be considered for trainee roles
