Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup: Prepare, calibrate, and configure machines and load raw materials before production runs.
Operation & Monitoring: Oversee machinery performance, adjust settings as needed, and ensure production quotas are met.
Quality Control: Inspect finished workpieces and parts using measurement tools like calipers to check for defects.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine checks, clear minor jams, fix basic mechanical issues, and conduct preventive maintenance.
Safety & Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and keep the workspace clean.
Record Keeping: Log production output, document defects, and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or senior secondary education equivalent.
Experience: Previous manufacturing or production floor experience.
Skills: Basic math and measuring proficiency, mechanical aptitude, and ability to read technical manuals or blueprints.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for long shifts, bend, and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
