Job Responsibilities

For Inspection Machine Operator:

• Operate inspection machines for checking printed labels and rolls.

• Inspect material for printing defects, colour variation, registration issues, missing prints, and other quality defects.

• Ensure finished material meets required quality standards and customer specifications.

• Monitor machine operation and maintain proper speed and settings.

• Identify defective material and segregate it appropriately.

• Maintain inspection records and production details.

• Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams regarding quality issues.

• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the machine.

For Slitting Machine Operator:

• Operate slitting machines for converting jumbo rolls into required widths.

• Set machine parameters according to job specifications and production requirements.

• Ensure accurate roll width, tension, winding and cutting quality.

• Check material during production for defects and proper winding.

• Handle different types of label printing materials and substrates.

• Minimize material wastage and ensure smooth machine operation.

• Maintain production and wastage records.

• Perform basic machine cleaning and routine checks.

• Follow all safety and production procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience operating Inspection or Slitting Machines in a printing, label, flexible packaging or manufacturing unit will be preferred.

• Candidates with relevant machine-operation experience may also be considered.

• Basic understanding of machine settings, measurements and quality checking.

• Ability to work in shifts.

• Good discipline, attendance and willingness to learn.

• Physically fit to handle rolls/material as required.
