ITI Fitter

Job Purpose

 Produces equipment of steel cold rolling mills & process lines with high accuracy.

2. Key Result Area

 Assist to fitter or assembly work.

3. Key Responsibilities

 Study & maintain assembly drawings.

 Maintain loose material with tagging.

 Assist to fitter for assembly work.

 Maintain tools, tackles & measuring equipment's.

 Maintain cleanliness & housekeeping on job.

 To be work individually in absence of fitter.

4. Qualification and Experience

 ITI fitter course from a recognized institute with around 2-3 yrs experience in

engineering industry.

5. Technical Competencies

 Basic knowledge of handling tools & tackles.

 Basic knowledge of handling measuring instruments.

 Maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining

equipment.

3. Key Responsibilities

 Engineering drawing knowledge & study.

 Mechanical parts/components identification & use of knowledge.

 Plans assembly sequence by studying drawings, specifications, machining

parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.

 Hand assembly experience for steel cold rolling mill and process line equipment

 Handling & use of measurement equipment’s.

 Use of mechanical tools & tackles.

 Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures

 Problem identification and troubleshooting.

 Ensures compliance to quality, safety & environmental standards as per ISO

9001.

4. Qualification and Experience

 ITI/NCTVT course from a recognized institute with around 5-7yrs experience of

assembly in any engineering industry.

5. Technical Competencies

 Knowledge of Piping and drawing knowledge.

 Expert in use of measuring instruments.

 Expert in machine building with accuracy and specifications.
