Inprocess Engineer

Job Role:

• Monitor in-process quality at all stages of manufacturing.

• Conduct regular inspections and process audits on the production floor.

• Analyze process parameters and identify deviations from standard operating procedures.

• Ensure compliance with quality plans, control plans, work instructions, and custmer specifications.

• Investigate in-process defects and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Perform root cause analysis using quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, and 8D.

• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve process-related issues.

• Monitor process capability (Cp, Cpk) and recommend improvements.

• Review and approve first-off inspection reports before production starts.

• Ensure calibration status of measuring instruments used during production.

• Maintain in-process inspection records, quality reports, and documentation.

• Support internal, customer, and certification audits.

• Train operators on quality standards, inspection methods, and defect prevention.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke.

• Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap trends and recommend improvement actions.

• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and company policies.
