Fitter Overseas

FITTER JOB CATEGORIES

· Mechanical Fitter – machinery, pumps, motors and mechanical equipment

· Pipe Fitter – industrial, water, plumbing and process piping systems

· HVAC / MEP Pipe Fitter – chilled-water and building-services piping

· Fire-Fighting Pipe Fitter – fire protection piping systems

· Structural Fitter – steel structures, frames and metal components

· Industrial / Maintenance Fitter – plant equipment installation, inspection and repair

· Fabrication Fitter – measuring, marking, preparing and assembling metal components

· Instrument / Tube Fitter – small-bore tubing and instrument connections, where qualified

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Measure, mark, assemble, install, align or dismantle pipes, machinery or components according to the job role.

· Use hand tools, measuring instruments and fitting tools safely and correctly.

· Read basic technical drawings, layouts, isometric drawings or equipment instructions where required.

· Fit and secure components such as pipes, flanges, valves, supports, fasteners and machine parts as applicable.

· Assist with installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair activities within the worker’s competency.

· Coordinate with welders, technicians, supervisors and other site teams to complete assigned work.

· Check dimensions, alignment and workmanship; report defects, shortages or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.

· Follow site safety rules, use required PPE and maintain tools and work areas properly.

WHO CAN APPLY?

· Candidates with relevant fitter experience in industrial, construction, factory, HVAC/MEP, piping or maintenance work.

· ITI / trade certificate / diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Pipe Fitting or a related field is preferred for technical roles; practical experience may be considered depending on the vacancy.

· Freshers may register, but many skilled fitter vacancies require prior hands-on experience.

· Candidates able to follow instructions, work safely and cooperate with a team.

· Candidates willing to work at project sites, factories, workshops or industrial facilities as required.

SKILLS THAT CAN HELP YOUR APPLICATION

Pipe measurement and cutting; fitting and alignment; use of measuring tools; knowledge of valves, flanges and supports; basic drawing reading; machine assembly; maintenance; fabrication fit-up; and awareness of workplace health and safety. Skills required vary by fitter category.
