Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum machine availability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining equipment in a safe and efficient operating condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of heavy engineering and foundry machinery.

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults in production equipment.

• Dismantle, repair, assemble, and align mechanical components and rotating equipment.

• Replace bearings, shafts, couplings, gears, chains, belts, seals, and other mechanical parts.

• Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Perform machine alignment, lubrication, and routine inspections.

• Assist in installation, commissioning, and relocation of plant machinery.

• Execute welding, gas cutting, and minor fabrication work when required.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company procedures.

• Record maintenance activities, spare part consumption, and equipment history.

• Coordinate with production teams to reduce equipment downtime and improve machine reliability.

• Support shutdown maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
