We are looking for a Fitter to join our team . The role involves operating machinery, assembling products and maintaining quality standards on the production floor. This position offers an in-hand salary of 15K-20K and an opportunity to be part of a growing and essential industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining & repairing machines
Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments
Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together
Perform preventive maintenance to avoid downtime
Check tightness of joints and operation of moving parts, and file or chisel parts to make final adjustments if the fit is not perfect
Clean and lubricate assembled articles
Inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs needed, by removing any worn or damaged parts to install replacements, by sending a damaged part to the machine shop for repair or by doing the repair work themselves
Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is ITI Fitter/Diploma In Mechanical and 6m-3y in manufacturing or a related field. Attention to detail, physical stamina and ability to follow instructions are very important for this role.
