QC & Factory In-Charge – Bhopal
Devicas Herbal Wellness is looking for an experienced and responsible QC & Factory In-Charge to manage the day-to-day activities of its manufacturing unit in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
This is a Full-Time | On-Site opportunity under the Quality Control & Factory Operations function.
The position combines Quality Control, Production Supervision, Factory Operations, Documentation, Manpower Management, Inventory Coordination, SOP Implementation, Hygiene, Safety, and overall plant coordination.
We are looking for a hands-on factory professional who can take ownership of daily manufacturing operations and work closely with production staff, workers, and management.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The QC & Factory In-Charge will be responsible for maintaining quality standards while also supervising production and factory operations.
This is not limited to laboratory QC work. The selected candidate will be expected to actively manage the factory floor, production activities, quality checks, documentation, workforce coordination, material handling, housekeeping, and routine operational requirements.
The role is suitable for professionals with experience in Quality Control, Production, Manufacturing, Factory Operations, Plant Supervision, or similar manufacturing functions.
Candidates with relevant experience in Ayurvedic, herbal, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, FMCG, food, personal-care or similar manufacturing environments will be preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Quality Control & Quality Assurance Support
Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging materials.
Monitor quality at different stages of production.
Conduct or coordinate required quality checks for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
Ensure finished products meet defined quality specifications before release.
Identify quality deviations, defects, contamination risks and process issues.
Maintain QC registers, inspection reports and quality-related documentation.
Coordinate product and sample testing with external laboratories whenever required.
Maintain proper sample retention and batch-related records.
Investigate quality complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
Monitor hygiene, cleanliness, and quality practices throughout the manufacturing area.
Ensure proper quality checks and documentation are maintained for manufacturing batches.
2. Factory & Production Operations
Take day-to-day responsibility for factory operations.
Plan and coordinate daily production activities according to requirements.
Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of batches.
Coordinate with production workers, supervisors, and other factory staff.
Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
Monitor productivity, wastage, rejection, and production efficiency.
Ensure proper handling, storage and movement of raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.
Monitor production equipment and coordinate maintenance whenever required.
Identify operational bottlenecks and take timely corrective action.
Maintain factory discipline and proper housekeeping.
Ensure the production floor remains organized and operationally controlled.
3. Manpower Management
Supervise factory workers and production staff.
Allocate daily duties and responsibilities.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, and productivity.
Train workers regarding basic quality, hygiene, safety, and operational procedures.
Ensure workers follow established SOPs and factory processes.
Address routine workforce and operational issues.
Escalate major manpower or operational matters to management when required.
4. Documentation, Registers & MIS
The selected candidate will maintain and regularly update factory and quality-related documentation, including:

5. SOP, GMP, Hygiene & Process Compliance
Ensure factory activities are performed according to applicable SOPs and internal quality standards.
Support implementation of appropriate GMP, hygiene, safety, and manufacturing practices applicable to the facility.
Maintain proper batch documentation and traceability.
Assist management during inspections, audits, and compliance-related activities.
Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements.
Ensure SOPs and operational procedures are communicated properly to factory workers.
Monitor implementation of established manufacturing and quality procedures.
6. Inventory & Material Coordination
Coordinate with management and store personnel regarding raw-material requirements.
Monitor consumption of raw materials and packaging materials.
Ensure materials are properly labelled and stored.
Prevent unnecessary wastage, damage, or contamination.
Coordinate material availability before production activities.
Report shortages, damaged materials or quality concerns to management.
Support proper material movement and storage across the manufacturing operation.
7. Factory Safety, Hygiene & Housekeeping
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene throughout the manufacturing unit.
Monitor safe working practices.
Ensure workers use required protective equipment wherever applicable.
Identify potential safety hazards and report them immediately.
Ensure proper segregation and handling of materials.
Maintain organized production and storage areas.
Support a clean, disciplined, and controlled factory environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are looking for a candidate who can take practical ownership of factory operations and work directly on the manufacturing floor.
The candidate should have:
Experience in QC, Quality Control, Production, Manufacturing, Factory Operations, or Plant Supervision.
Strong understanding of quality-control procedures.
Practical understanding of production-floor operations.
Experience supervising manpower and factory workers.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong ownership and accountability.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for day-to-day factory operations.
Ability to identify operational issues and coordinate timely corrective action.
