JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Job Title (Job Code): EN-XS-50: Ecodesign Engineer PURPOSE OF THE JOB In charge of Ecodesign and Fire & Smoke for tenders & projects Feed the Environmental Management System (ISO14001) with ecodesign input and activities Manage & improve environmental performance of products ORGANISATION Organisation structure (job belongs to..) Reports directly to: RS Integrator units: Train design domain leader RSC Ecodesign Manager for Ecodesign engineers based in STO Other units: Various Other reporting to: SSM (CBC, BOG, PWT, LOB, EFD) Direct reports: Business Ecodesign Manager, Ecodesign CCN Leader, Ecodesign director; Fire & Smoke Manager and TPM Network & Links Internal Central Engineering: CCN Leader Fire Safety, BID Technical Manager (Pre-Engineering); Ecodesign community & CCNL Ecodesign Site Engineering Ecodesign, Fire Propagation, Design Engineers, mechanical engineers, EHS, Train Design Engineer (TDE), Train System Engineer (TSE), Train Sub System Manager/Engineer, TSS RAMS Managers, Project Certification Manager (PrCM). Project: Train Performance Manager (TPM), Chief of development (CoD), Project Manager (PM) Products: Product architects (PA), Product managers (PM) QSRW: Project Quality and Safety Manager (PrQSM), Supplier Product Quality Development (SPQD) Sourcing: Buyers. Integrating & Participating Units: Fire & Smoke specialists, RAMS leaders External External Interface: External Suppliers, External Laboratories for F&S tests, Customers, Fire & Smoke Authorities MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Performance / measurement/ KPIs Ecodesign activities on Tenders & Project. On Time Delivery and Customers satisfaction Ecodesign product performance reported in Ecodesign dashboard Fire & Smoke project planning Fire & smoke product development specifications Inputs for Project Safety Design Reviews - on time and documented. Responsibilities Definition of requirements for Ecodesign and Fire & Smoke in the projects. Verification of supplier’s deliverables/certificates for Ecodesign and Fire & Smoke. Preparation of reports / documentation according to QCD and Ecodesign/Fire & Smoke processes Support the team to achieve authorization. Database maintenance to store the evidence. Contribute to the local Ecodesign commitment definition and deployment. Support ISO 14001 certification. Launch and follow-up of the project KPI regarding Ecodesign and fire & smoke. Deployment of RSC processes Inform the unit organization about Ecodesign and fire & smoke processes and their changes. Continuous improvements in Ecodesign and fire & smoke processes. Support of CCN activities (Alstom expert network). MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Educational Requirements Mandatory: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology Desirable: Experience Mandatory: Ecodesign Engineer / Material Engineer with environmental experience / Electronic / Mechanical/ Chemical Engineer with material and environmental experience Technical background in the railway industry and/or in fire protection or comparable industrial sectors. Knowledge of international standards and guidelines regarding environmental and fire protection (hazardous substances, recyclability...)
