# Job Description: CNC Lathe Operator

## Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operating CNC lathes, particularly with Fanuc controllers, and a strong understanding of measurement tools and machining practices.

## Key Responsibilities

- Load and secure workpieces accurately into CNC lathe machines.

- Operate and program CNC lathes using Fanuc controllers.

- Input and adjust tool offsets correctly to ensure machining accuracy.

- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, vernier calipers, and bore gauges.

- Conduct routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure smooth operation.

- Interpret technical drawings and machining instructions to produce components as per specifications.

- Maintain quality standards by inspecting finished parts and making necessary adjustments.

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

## Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator.

- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controller operations.

- Ability to set and adjust offsets with accuracy.

- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier, bore gauge).

- Understanding of machining processes and tolerances.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Experience in precision machining for industrial applications.

- Familiarity with shop floor safety and ISO quality standards.
