Set up and operate manual or CNC turning (lathe) machines to produce parts as per design specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
Select, install, and align tools, jigs, and workpieces accurately.
Adjust cutting speeds, feeds, and tool paths to achieve required tolerances and surface finish.
Perform first-piece inspection and continuous in-process checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier caliper, bore gauge, dial indicator, etc.).
Maintain dimensional accuracy and document inspection results.
Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
Troubleshoot operational or dimensional issues and report major issues to the supervisor.
Maintain production records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and materials.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
Basic understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar) preferred.
Ability to work independently and meet production targets.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
