Electrical Panel Designer

Job Summary:

An Electrical Panel Designer is responsible for designing electrical control panels, PCC panels, MCC panels, PLC panels, and related electrical systems as per customer requirements, technical standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical control panels and layouts.

• Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings.

• Prepare electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Select electrical components such as:

  • MCB

  • MCCB

  • Contactor

  • Relay

  • VFD

  • PLC

  • Busbar

• Prepare BOM (Bill of Material).

• Coordinate with production and fabrication teams.

• Ensure panel design complies with electrical standards and safety norms.

• Support troubleshooting during panel assembly and testing.

• Communicate with clients regarding technical requirements.

• Maintain project documentation and design records.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of electrical panel designing.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD / EPLAN / electrical design software.

• Understanding of electrical circuits and control systems.

• Knowledge of PLC and automation systems.

• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings.

• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualification:

• Diploma / BE in Electrical Engineering.

• ITI with relevant experience can also apply.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–5 years experience in electrical panel design preferred.
