Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and technically capable Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day production activities, inventory, repairing jobs, material movement, and dispatch operations. The candidate will coordinate with workers, purchase, stores, sales, and management to ensure timely completion and delivery of orders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Plan and supervise daily production activities as per order requirements.
Allocate jobs and manpower to production workers.
Monitor production progress, quality, and delivery schedules.
Ensure proper utilization of manpower, tools, machines, and materials.
Maintain daily production reports and job status.
Coordinate with management regarding production delays or requirements.
2. Inventory & Stores Management
Maintain accurate records of raw materials, components, consumables, and finished goods.
Monitor stock levels and identify shortages in advance.
Coordinate with the purchase team for required materials.
Maintain proper inward and outward material records.
Conduct regular physical stock verification.
Ensure proper storage and identification of materials.
3. Repairing & Job Management
Receive and record repair/service requirements.
Inspect equipment and identify repair requirements.
Prepare job-wise repair status and estimated material requirements.
Allocate repair jobs to technicians/workers and monitor completion.
Maintain records of replaced parts and repair materials used.
Ensure repaired equipment is properly tested before delivery.
4. Dispatch Handling
Coordinate with the sales/management team for dispatch schedules.
Ensure equipment is completely ready before dispatch.
Check quantity, accessories, documents, packing, and loading requirements.
Coordinate with transporters for vehicle arrangement and dispatch.
Maintain dispatch records and proof of dispatch.
Ensure timely dispatch as per customer commitment.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain production, inventory, repair, and dispatch records.
Prepare daily/weekly production and pending-job reports.
Track order status from production to final dispatch.
Maintain material consumption and stock records.
Report delays, shortages, quality issues, and urgent requirements to management.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of production and workshop operations.
Experience in inventory and material management.
Ability to manage technicians, workers, and multiple jobs simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment and repair work.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel.
Strong follow-up and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work under production and dispatch deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Experience in material handling equipment, construction equipment, fabrication, engineering products, hydraulic equipment, lifting equipment, or industrial machinery will be an advantage.
