Web/App/OTT Developer Job Description

This role involves developing web applications, mobile apps, and OTT streaming platforms for a media company like eNEWS Bharat, focusing on news and content delivery. Developers must be proficient in current full-stack technologies and OTT tools for scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Build responsive web and mobile apps using modern frameworks, ensuring cross-platform compatibility on Android TV and smart devices. Develop backend services, APIs, and integrate streaming protocols for VOD and live content. Optimize performance, conduct code reviews, collaborate on agile projects, and deploy via CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills and Platforms

Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, Flutter, React Native for web/mobile UIs.
Backend: Node.js, Express.js, Django, Laravel for APIs and servers.
Mobile/OTT: Android (Kotlin), iOS (Swift), Android TV SDKs; HLS, AWS Media Services, Wowza for streaming.
Databases/Cloud: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS/GCP for storage and CDN.
Additional: Git, Agile, DRM (Widevine), performance optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years in full-stack or OTT development. Experience with media/news apps preferred. Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills required.
