Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and technically skilled Sales & Application Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads, understanding customer requirements, demonstrating machines, providing application solutions, supporting installations, conducting customer training, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. This role combines technical expertise, application engineering, and sales capabilities to support business growth and customer success.
Key Responsibilities • Visit customer locations to understand requirements and demonstrate machines. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure high customer satisfaction. • Identify and generate leads through cold calling, networking, exhibitions, and industry research. • Follow up on inquiries and convert leads into sales opportunities. • Present technical features, benefits, and application capabilities of machines to prospective customers. • Recommend suitable machine models and solutions based on customer requirements. • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, quotations, proposals, and reports. • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and achieve sales targets.
Pre-Sales & Application Support • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products. • Conduct feasibility studies and application tests to ensure proposed solutions meet customer needs. • Develop and optimize programs or applications to meet specific customer requirements. • Provide technical consultation and application support during the sales cycle. Installation, Training & Customer Support • Assist in installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of machines at customer locations. • Ensure machines are operating at optimal performance and provide post-installation support. • Provide on-site and remote customer training on machine operation and applications. • Address customer queries and resolve technical issues related to machine applications. • Assist with after-sales support and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Technical Documentation • Create and maintain technical documents, user manuals, application notes, training materials, and reports. • Document customer feedback and provide reports to management and development teams.
Market Research & Coordination • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, customer feedback, and technological advancements. • Provide inputs to sales, marketing, and product teams to improve the product portfolio. • Coordinate with production, technical support, and service teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and customer satisfaction.
Key Skills Required • Strong technical and application knowledge of industrial machinery. • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer handling skills. • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Sales negotiation and relationship management skills. • Ability to travel for customer visits, installations, and training. • Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.
