Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Manual & Automation Test Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in software testing. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements, preparing test scenarios and test cases, executing functional and regression testing, identifying defects, and developing/maintaining automation test scripts.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and UI testing.

Design and execute manual test cases based on application requirements.

Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.

Execute automation test suites and analyze test execution results.

Maintain reusable automation scripts and testing frameworks.

Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.

Validate REST APIs, request/response parameters, status codes, and response data.

Perform database validation using basic SQL queries.

Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, defect triage, and release activities.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and defects.

Contribute to improving test coverage, automation coverage, and overall QA processes.

Required Skills

1–3 years of experience in Software Testing / QA.

Strong knowledge of Manual Testing concepts and STLC/SDLC.

Good experience in writing and executing test cases.

Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or similar web automation tools.

Knowledge of Java/Python for automation testing.

Experience with TestNG/JUnit or similar testing frameworks.

Good understanding of API Testing and Postman.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and database testing.

Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab or similar version-control systems.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology.

Good understanding of defect life cycle and tools such as Jira.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

Experience with Playwright/Cypress.

Knowledge of automation framework design such as Page Object Model (POM).

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins/GitHub Actions.

Basic understanding of Docker.

Experience testing payment, e-commerce, fintech, or other transaction-based applications.

Knowledge of JSON, REST APIs, and HTTP methods.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
