Job Description – Housekeeping Supervisor

• Responsible for overall floor control and supervision of housekeeping operations

• Ensure proper room cleaning, bed making, and presentation standards are maintained

• Monitor availability and replenishment of room facilities, amenities, and supplies

• Train and supervise housemen and housekeeping staff as per SOP standards

• Ensure proper grooming, discipline, and performance of team members

• Handle guest requests and complaints effectively and ensure quick resolution

• Coordinate with Front Office for room status updates and guest-related concerns

• Ensure proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals as per safety standards

• Maintain correct trolley setup and material arrangement for daily operations

• Coordinate with DHK / EHK for linen management, replacements, and laundry requirements

• Possess good knowledge of in-house laundry operations and linen control

• Prepare and manage duty rosters, schedules, and daily housekeeping checklists

• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, back areas, and surroundings

• Monitor maintenance issues and coordinate with Engineering for timely repairs

• Handle upkeep of plants, décor, and general maintenance requirements

• Ensure proper usage of equipment such as vacuum cleaners and polishing machines

• Maintain all housekeeping records, registers, and daily reports accurately

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times

• Be flexible to work in any shift (morning, evening, or night) as per operational needs

Eligibility & Requirements

• Gender: Male / Female

• Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or relevant field

• Experience: Minimum 2–4 years in housekeeping operations (hotel industry preferred)

• Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, reports, email handling, PMS systems preferred)

• Strong communication, leadership, and team-handling skills

• Good grooming and professional appearance
