Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Business Development Manager specializing in corrugated box packaging, with strong connections in the export segment from India. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of generating business from exporters across industries such as FMCG, garments, engineering goods, auto components, pharmaceuticals, agro products, and e-commerce.
The role involves expanding domestic and export-linked business, developing long-term relationships with export houses, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1️⃣ Business Development – Corrugated Packaging
Identify and develop new clients requiring corrugated export packaging.
Target export-oriented units (EOUs), merchant exporters, and manufacturing companies exporting globally.
Generate RFQs and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
Develop new markets and industry verticals for corrugated solutions.
2️⃣ Export Market Focus
Leverage existing network with exporters across India.
Understand export packaging standards (bursting strength, edge crush test, compression strength, moisture resistance, palletization).
Ensure packaging compliance as per international shipping norms.
Coordinate with clients for customized export-ready packaging solutions.
3️⃣ Technical & Commercial Handling
Understand flute types (3-ply, 5-ply, 7-ply), GSM combinations, board grades.
Knowledge of export-strength cartons and container optimization.
Work with costing team to prepare competitive pricing.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms.
4️⃣ Client Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with export houses and manufacturers.
Coordinate closely with production, QA, and dispatch teams.
Ensure timely supply aligned with export shipment schedules.
5️⃣ Performance & Reporting
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Maintain sales pipeline and forecasting.
Monitor profitability and payment follow-ups.
