Business Development Executive – Field Sales (Beverages Industry)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive – Field Sales to expand our market presence across Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FMCG/beverages sales, strong distributor and retailer relationships, and a proven ability to drive volume and visibility in assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive primary and secondary sales targets across assigned Mumbai territories.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.

• Identify new business opportunities, onboard new outlets, and expand market penetration.

• Execute sales strategies, promotions, and trade marketing activities in line with company objectives.

• Ensure proper product availability, visibility, and merchandising at retail outlets.

• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends; share actionable insights with management.

• Manage distributor performance including order planning, stock management, and collections.

• Prepare daily/weekly sales reports, beat plans, and market feedback.

• Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

• Minimum 2 years of field sales experience in Sales & Marketing, preferably in Beverages or FMCG.

• Strong understanding of Mumbai retail landscape (GT/MT/HORECA is an advantage).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently in the field and meet sales targets consistently.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools.

• Willingness to travel extensively within Mumbai.
