Job Description – Personal Driver to the Managing Director (MD)

Reporting To: Managing Director Location: Anna Nagar Work Timings: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM (flexible as per MD’s schedule)

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, disciplined, and experienced Personal Driver to provide safe, timely, and confidential transportation services to the Managing Director. The role requires excellent driving skills, strong route knowledge, professional behaviour, and the ability to handle the vehicle with utmost care. The driver must maintain confidentiality and support the MD’s travel needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive the Managing Director to and from office, meetings, airports, and other official or personal engagements.

• Provide daily pick‑up and drop‑off as per the MD’s schedule.

• Ensure punctuality by planning routes in advance and avoiding traffic delays.

• Maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent condition, including cleanliness, fuel, servicing, insurance, and PUC compliance.

• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.

• Handle the vehicle responsibly and ensure smooth, safe driving at all times.

• Assist the MD with luggage, documents, or errands when required.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the MD’s schedules, movements, and discussions.

• Coordinate with the admin/office team for travel planning and vehicle maintenance.

• Be available for early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and outstation travel when required.

• Maintain a professional appearance, polite behaviour, and respectful communication at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Valid LMV driving license.

• Experience: 4 to 10+ years as a personal or executive driver (preferably for senior management).

• Excellent knowledge of local routes, highways, and traffic conditions.

• Clean driving record with no major violations.

• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Polite, disciplined, trustworthy, and well‑mannered.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle responsibilities with maturity.

• Physically fit and mentally alert.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience driving luxury or high‑end vehicles.

• Basic communication skills in English and the local language.

• Willingness to travel outstation when required.
