Job Overview

A Purchase & Sales Executive in a food manufacturing unit is responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor coordination, inventory planning, and customer sales operations. This role acts as a bridge between suppliers, production teams, and clients to ensure smooth business operations, timely material availability, and efficient order execution. The position focuses on cost-effective purchasing, stock management, client handling, and maintaining food quality standards as per FSSAI guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure raw materials, packaging materials, and kitchen supplies as per production requirements

• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, negotiations, deliveries, and payment follow-ups

• Maintain stock records, inward/outward entries, and inventory reports

• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock

• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams for smooth material flow

• Handle sales inquiries, customer follow-ups, and order processing

• Develop and maintain relationships with restaurants, cafés, caterers, and food businesses

• Prepare purchase orders, sales invoices, and basic documentation

• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery coordination

• Maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards

• Support management in achieving procurement savings and sales targets

Required Skills

• Good communication and negotiation skills

• Basic knowledge of purchase and sales operations

• Knowledge of MS Excel and billing/inventory software

• Ability to manage vendors and customer relationships

• Strong coordination and multitasking abilities

• Understanding of food industry operations is preferred

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field

• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or hospitality industry preferred

• Freshers with good communication and operational skills can also apply

• Shift Timing: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

• Salary Range: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month
