Team Leader – Life Insurance Call Centre
We are looking for a target-driven Team Leader with hands-on experience in life insurance call-centre operations. The ideal candidate will lead a team of inbound or outbound callers, drive sales and service targets, and ensure excellent customer handling, call quality, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and coach callers handling life insurance sales, lead generation, renewals, or servicing.
Monitor daily performance and KPIs, including calls, talk time, conversions, productivity, quality, and attendance.
Conduct team huddles, call reviews, one-to-one coaching, and performance improvement plans.
Ensure agents follow approved scripts, product information, customer disclosures, and applicable insurance and company requirements.
Support agents with customer queries and escalations; coordinate with Quality, Training, and Operations teams.
Prepare regular MIS reports and recommend ways to improve sales, service, and customer experience.
Maintain team discipline and protect customer information.
Ideal candidate
Previous experience in a call centre handling life insurance calls is essential.
Team leadership or supervisory experience in insurance/BFSI operations is preferred.
Strong coaching, communication, target-management, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable using CRM systems, dialers, and Excel/MIS reports.
