Driver Compliance Officer – Job Description

Job Title: Driver Compliance Officer

Department: Operations / Fleet Management

Reports To: Fleet Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Driver Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all company drivers comply with transportation laws, company policies, and safety regulations. The role involves monitoring driver documentation, maintaining compliance records, conducting audits, investigating non-compliance issues, and supporting safe and efficient fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all drivers maintain valid licenses, certifications, and required permits.

• Monitor compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

• Maintain accurate driver qualification files and compliance records.

• Track license, certification, permit, and medical certificate expiry dates.

• Review driver logs, vehicle inspection reports, and incident reports for compliance.

• Investigate driver violations, accidents, and non-compliance issues.

• Recommend and monitor corrective actions to address compliance deficiencies.

• Conduct internal compliance audits and prepare compliance reports for management.

• Communicate regulatory updates and company policy changes to drivers and operational teams.

• Support external audits and regulatory inspections.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of driver compliance records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field (preferred).

• 2–5 years of experience in transportation, fleet operations, logistics, or compliance.

• Knowledge of transportation regulations and driver compliance requirements.

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and fleet management software.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
