Personal Loan Team Leader

Job Summary

The Personal Loan Team Leader will manage and drive the performance of a team handling personal loan sales and processing. The role focuses on achieving business targets, ensuring compliance with lending policies, maintaining portfolio quality, and delivering a seamless customer experience across branch, field, channel, and digital platforms in a Bank, NBFC, or Fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Personal Loan Officers to achieve sales and disbursement targets

• Drive loan sourcing through branch walk-ins, referrals, DSAs, field sales, and digital leads

• Monitor team productivity, pipeline, conversion ratios, and TAT

• Ensure accurate documentation, verification, and adherence to credit policies

• Coordinate with credit, operations, risk, collections, and tech teams for smooth processing

• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, KYC/AML norms, and internal policies

• Handle customer escalations and maintain high service standards

• Track portfolio performance and support delinquency control

• Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly MIS and performance reports

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Team target achievement (volume & value)

• Disbursement and approval ratios

• Turnaround Time (TAT)

• Portfolio quality and delinquency levels

• Team productivity and retention

Eligibility & Skills

•• Education:• Graduation (MBA/PG preferred)

Experience:

• 3–6 years in Personal Loans / Retail Lending

• 1–2 years of team handling experience

• Exposure to Bank, NBFC, or Fintech lending preferred

Skills:

• Strong leadership and people management

• Good knowledge of personal loan products and credit processes

• Sales-driven with risk and compliance orientation

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Proficient in MS Excel, CRM/LMS, and MIS reporting
