Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate South Indian Commi Chef to join our kitchen team in Banaras. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, sambhar, chutneys, and other regional specialties.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
Assist in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards.
Monitor stock levels and inform the senior chef about ingredient requirements.
Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of raw materials.
Follow recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support the kitchen team during peak hours and maintain smooth operations.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience as a South Indian Commi Chef or in a similar role.
Good knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Willingness to relocate or work in Banaras.

Preferred Skills

Expertise in preparing dosa batter and traditional chutneys.
Basic inventory management knowledge.
Good time management and multitasking skills.
