We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, taste, and hygiene. This role requires expertise in traditional South Indian cuisine, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy kitchen efficiently.
Prepare a wide range of South Indian dishes including:
Dosa Varieties: Plain, Masala, Onion, Podi, Mysore Masala, Paneer, Arogya Variety, with Butter/Ghee options
Idli Specials: Steamed Idli, Mini Idli, Fried Podi Idli, Extra Idli
Uttapam: Onion, Podi, Veg Uttapam with Butter/Ghee options
Vada: Single Vada, Vada with Sambar, Dal Vada
Home Specials: Lemon Semiya, Sweet Paniyaram, Veg Paniyaram
Beverages: Filter Coffee, Sherbet, Mineral Water
Combos: 2 Idli + 1 Vada, Idli + Vada + Dosa
Ensure consistent taste and presentation of all dishes served
Maintain hygienic and organized kitchen practices in compliance with safety standards
Handle bulk orders and peak hours efficiently without compromising quality
Monitor inventory, raw material usage, and stock levels
Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations
Innovate and suggest new dishes or variations to enhance the menu
Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a South Indian Cook in hotels, restaurants, or food service establishments
Strong knowledge of batter preparation, chutneys, sambar, and traditional cooking techniques
Ability to work under pressure during busy service times
Attention to detail, discipline, and teamwork skills
Knowledge of kitchen safety and food hygiene standards
