Research & Development Chef

Job Summary

Ready Kitchens & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a passionate and innovative R&D Chef to lead recipe development, menu innovation, food trials, and product standardization for our client brands. The ideal candidate should have strong culinary expertise, creativity, and the ability to develop scalable recipes while maintaining consistency, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new recipes, menus, and food concepts for various restaurant and cloud kitchen brands.

• Conduct recipe trials and food tastings to ensure quality, taste, and presentation.

• Standardize recipes, portion sizes, and cooking procedures.

• Calculate food cost and optimize recipes without compromising quality.

• Prepare Standard Recipe Cards (SRCs) and SOPs for kitchen operations.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their brand vision and menu requirements.

• Research food trends, ingredients, and innovative cooking techniques.

• Coordinate with procurement teams for ingredient sourcing and vendor trials.

• Train kitchen staff on newly developed recipes and production methods.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and FSSAI standards.

• Maintain proper documentation of recipes, trial reports, and product development records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Research & Development or menu development.

• Strong knowledge of Indian, Continental, Oriental, and Fusion cuisines.

• Expertise in food costing, recipe standardization, and menu engineering.

• Good understanding of kitchen operations and production planning.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and documentation is an added advantage.
