Job Description

We are looking for an experienced full-time live-in cook to independently manage the kitchen at our premium homestay in Jaipur.

The candidate should have prior experience working in a hotel, resort, guesthouse or similar hospitality setup and must be comfortable preparing high-quality, hygienic and well-presented meals for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and beverages for homestay guests.

• Cook a variety of cuisines, including North Indian, South Indian, Continental and basic Chinese dishes.

• Customize meals based on guest preferences, dietary restrictions and spice requirements.

• Plan daily and weekly menus in coordination with the homestay manager.

• Independently manage the complete kitchen operation.

• Purchase groceries, vegetables and other kitchen supplies when required.

• Monitor inventory and ensure ingredients are stocked without unnecessary wastage.

• Maintain proper food portions, taste, quality and presentation.

• Keep the kitchen, refrigerator, utensils and storage areas clean and hygienic.

• Follow food-safety and personal-hygiene standards at all times.

• Coordinate with housekeeping and other homestay staff for smooth guest service.

• Occasionally prepare meals for small gatherings or special guest requests.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of professional cooking experience.

• Previous experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, guesthouse or premium homestay is strongly preferred.

• Good knowledge of Indian and multi-cuisine cooking.

• Able to independently manage menu planning, purchasing and kitchen inventory.

• Polite, disciplined, trustworthy and comfortable interacting with guests.

• Willing to live at the property full-time.

• Must maintain high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.

• Should be flexible regarding meal timings depending on guest requirements.
